2012 Spot Brand Ajax

With the Acme in a class by itself, the least we could do was build it a bonafide playmate. The 2012 Ajax fits that title and then some. It has the same custom Spot Brand frame, fork, dropout and chain guard as the Acme but with a few money-saving changes like a Shimano Alfine 8-speed internal hub for a 307% gear range rather than the 11-speed speed 409% range of the Acme.

The revolutionary 2012 edition picked up right where the 2011 left off with the Gates CenterTrack belt drive and Shimano Alfine 11-speed internal hub. Tim saw Hampus's bike from last years Bespoked show and was inspired! He commissioned a super cool commuter/town bike which will see duties getting him backwards and forwards to work as well as getting out for rides with the family on the weekends.

This has been a fun build, Tim knew that he wanted belt drive and bar end mounted brake levers but that was about it, he pretty much gave me a blank canvas so I got busy and this is the result.
